Rules and conditions

There are three categories in the short film contest:

  • Micro-documentary icon

Micro-documentary

  • Micro-fiction icon

Micro-fiction

  • Animation icon

Micro-animation

Requirements

  • All short films must reflect the theme of this edition: the global crisis of access to water and sanitation. This crisis, exacerbated by climate change, directly impacts hygiene, pollution, agriculture, health, nutrition, and education for millions of people worldwide
  • All works must begin and end with the official title cards.
  • The works must have a duration of one to three minutes (not counting the official start and end title cards).
  • The audio and/or texts that are part of the works must be in English or subtitled in English.
  • To participate, you must have registered before July 9, 2026.
