Jury
The jury of the We Art Water Festival 3 is made up of leading international individuals in the fields of cinema, press and cooperation.
Carlos Jiménez Renfijo
Desk Officer of UNRIC (United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe). He started to work for United Nations in New York in 1984 and holds his current position since 2004.
Manuela Velasco
Spanish actress. The film “[Rec]” stands out among her various projects, earning her the award for Best Actress at the 22nd edition of the Goya Awards in 2007. She also won the award for Best Actress at the Sitges Festival for the same film. She has taken part in numerous television series and currently appears in the television series “Velvet”.
Marc Clotet
Spanish actor. He has participated in numerous short films and feature films as well as in very popular Spanish television series. He was nominated for the Goya awards as Best New Actor in 2011, for his role in “La Voz dormida” (“The Sleeping Voice”). He has also collaborated in the television series “Física o Química” and “Amar es para siempre”, among others.
Leticia Dolera
Spanish actress and filmmaker. As an actress she has participated in numerous television series such as Al salir de clase, Los Serrano or Hospital Central. She has also collaborated in films such as El otro lado de la cama (The other side of the bed) (2002) or [REC]3, film that earned her the “Best Spanish actress” award at the Sant Jordi Awards. In the last few years she has also directed short films and one feature film called “Requisitos para ser una persona normal”.
Albert Solé
Spanish journalist and director. He has directed documentary films as "Vidas sonoras," "Los recuerdos de hielo," which won, among others, the National Prize of Culture and "Bucarest, la memoria perdida," a documentary that made him winner of numerous awards including a Oscar and Gaudí. He also has his own production company, Minimal Films, from which develops many projects.
Xavier Torras
Ex-director of the We Are Water Foundation since its creation in 2010. He has developed his professional career in the fields of marketing, business strategy and communication.
Rocío García
Journalist with El País since the establishment of the newspaper. Specialising in cinema and theatre, she has great articles and interviews carried out during these years. Throughout her career, she has covered numerous film events and has interviewed actors and actresses as well as very prestigious directors.
Daniel Sánchez-Arévalo
Director, screenwriter and international actor. As an actor, he has collaborated in numerous films and television series and has directed more than 15 short films and 4 feature films. He directed the film “La gran familia española” (“Family United”) in 2013, which obtained 11 nominations and 2 Goya awards in 2014, being also a candidate for the Oscars in the Best Foreign Language film category, representing the Spanish Film Academy.
Jordi Folgado
Director of the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. He has worked in numerous charity projects and, at present, he has focused on improving areas and adverse situations in India.
Juan José Campanella
International director and screenwriter. He has worked in films as scriptwriter, of which highlight "El mismo amor, la misma lluvia" or "El hijo de la novia". In 2010, he won an Oscar for "El secreto de sus ojos" for "Best Foreign Language Film". The Chamber of Deputies of Argentina made a tribute for his career and merit in 2014.
