See you on March 22nd!

December 23, 2020

We will find out the verdict of the jury of the We Art Water Film Festival and the audience award on World Water Day 2021. The details of the awards ceremony will depend on the evolution of the pandemic. Thank you for the excitement, understanding and support shown during this painful and complicated year. We wish you a year 2021 full of health, water and filmmaking!

As has been the case in nearly all international events planned for 2020, Covid-19 forced us to change the calendar of the fifth edition of the We Art Water Film Festival. We extended the registration period in view of the filming and production difficulties due to the restrictions of the lockdown. Despite this, 3,362 registered authors from 131 countries broke, once again, all participation records. The list with all finalists was revealed on September 15th and the voting period ended on October 20th.

We are ready to announce the date of the awards ceremony: March 22nd, World Water Day. The slogan of this year fully coincides with the spirit of the Festival: What does water mean to me? Your pieces explain it. You have added value to water and this is the best day to show it to the world.

While waiting to reveal the winners, we would like to express our immense gratitude. To all of you who have participated and voted, to those who have collaborated despite the restrictions and lockdowns, encouraging us to continue, contributing ideas and resources in spite of the hard times we have all experienced. We continue experiencing them, but the pandemic is making the world react with the unity and power provided by solidarity and the We Art Water Film Festival is the best example of it.

See you on March 22nd!
