Gul Hasan is a member of the indigenous tribe living in boat houses at Manchar Lake for centuries, is now worried about the future of his family. Manchar Lake used to be the largest freshwater lake in Pakistan, which has turned saline due to the environmental degradation of the lake. Thus, the fish yield has declined significantly, which has forced thousands of locals to migrate to other areas in search for livelihood abandoning their traditional way of life.
