Above is a film about a young adult in a postmodern society where water is a limited resource. Living in a luxurious house means nothing when there is no running water. Frustrated by his forced purchase of water every step of the way, his inner rebel surfaces. An opportunity arises from Above, as the rain begins to pour, enchanting our protagonist with the idea of accessing free water. He sets about building a contraption with everyday items, that will help him capture this precious resource, and succeeds in doing so. However, his use of an external water source lands him in an unsurprising amount of trouble. Trouble he’s willingly invited to his doorstep.
