'25 years without water'. Many people try to escape poverty and settle down in the hills of Lima in search of opportunities. However, the location of the city in the middle of the desert, the lack of infrastructures and the lack of political will force these families to live without water in their homes. According to official sources, about 800,000 people in Lima do not have access to the drinking water service and more than 1,2 million lack of sewage system. Despite the extreme poverty, these people come to pay even 12 times more for the same water.
