Our film presents Armenia’s current water crisis, and the innovative idea of two scientists to try to fix it. If successful, it promises a cost-effective, environmentally-friendly, and easily reproducible method of ensuring that rural communities get the water they need.
The idea is very simple, by covering snow on the mountain with geo-textile materials; they save it from melting and transform it into an artificial glacier. If well-financed and applied on a large enough scale, this would slow the melting of snow enough to provide clean water year round.
